Geocaching

We had a fun Memorial Day geocaching today with some friends. J went mountain biking this morning with some buddies. When he got home we met up with some friends and hunted for some caches. We found a few, but not as many as we had hoped. Some eluded us, but we still had fun. We ended the day with a bbq and games and an automated phone call from school reminding us that school is still in session for 13 more days and that they expect everyone to work straight through to the last day. I guess our fun 3 day weekend is over and it's back to work! Here are some pictures from our day and some of the scenery.

a cool stream and mini waterfall and a cactus friend along the trail...

What a fun day! I just found out that the outdoor animal show that our local zoo does is having a geocaching contest. During the show they give you coordinates and hints to find three caches in the surrounding area (not in the zoo). Doesn't that sound fun. I can't wait to do it!

I was telling Sunshine Bird about this and she wants to learn about it because A would love it. Glad you had a good weekend now go do your homework!

I have heard you talk about geocaching before - I think that is something my kids would really like, too.. what kind of a gps do you have?

We have a Garmin etrex Legend. It's a few years old. I'm sure there are updated versions of it by now and other GPS with more options that would be fun to have.
