Anticipation

My fabric arrived in the mail yesterday from Randi and I'm excited to cut into it. But it seems like there are so many things I want and need to do on my list, so I'll just enjoy the anticipation for a bit. That seems appropriate because when I got the mail yesterday we were super busy rushing around getting things done and getting ready to go to the American Idol Concert Tour. I was so excited to receive the package, but I wanted to enjoy that moment of opening up the package and seeing the fabric, so I didn't open it until late last night when we got home.

We had a fun time at the concert! We took our youngest 2. (Oldest: not interested.) They really got into AI this year and so we surprised them with tickets to see their favorites perform in person. They had a great time, but it was a late night for my youngest with all the other late nights she's been having lately.

I have a couple quilts I need to get done in the next week or so, and I don't know if it's physically possible since I don't have any of the fabric purchased yet, but I'm going to try really hard to get them done, so stay tuned for that.

And also I have a little giveaway coming up to show my appreciation to all of you who have stopped by to visit my blog! I've been blogging for 2 months now and it's been so much fun! I've been getting a lot of sewing done and it's fun to share it with others, and to be inspired by everyone's craftiness out there in the blogging world.

I recently hit over 1000 visits to my blog (thanks to sewmamasew.com). So soon, after I get some goodies gathered up, I will be doing a little give away called Pay It Forward. So check back for that.

And maybe if I have some time I can squeeze in a little reading. I just got Jennifer Chiaverini's The Winding Ways Quilt, so I'm dying to read it!

Happy 4th of July tomorrow!

I also can't wait to see what you will do with the great new fabrics.

You guys are so lucky to get to see American Idol. Was it wonderful? I was under the impression that it sold out so fast it wasn’t possible to get tickets. Lucky you!!
