Happy 4th!

Here's B. at the starting line of the 10K. He's NOT one of the guys in a speedo! It was exciting to be a part of this event this morning. We had to get up pretty early. There were a lot of people there! But it all went smoothly and we had a great time. B. met his goal of doing better than 45 minutes, with a time of 00:44:41. This was his first 10K. I have a feeling we might be doing this every year from now on.

A. ran hard and J. had to keep up with him on the 2 mile fun run. They made it 00:12:50. He wants to do the 10K next year, we'll see. K and I came along later. She was having a bit of a hard time waking up so early. But she did it!
Luckily we were done in time to enjoy some pancakes over at the church this morning.

We're resting now, and we'll be out again later today for the parade B. will participate in with the high school band. And then some fireworks tonight!

Hope everyone that's celebrating today has a festive and patriotic day.

Way to go B!!! I've run off and on since high school but have really gotten into it this year to try and lose some of my baby weight! I've done a 5K and 2 10K's and hope to do at least a couple more. :)

What a great new tradition! Did you see Tom and Brynn?

Yes, I saw them cross the finish line. And I called Brynn on Tom's cell when we were on the road, and then we met up with them at the pancake breakfast!
