Quilt for Marine Corps Baby

005

I made this quilt for my friend's baby back in the summer. She had a baby shower while I was on vacation with my family so I was unable to attend. I wanted to give it to her in person, and that didn't happen until TODAY!

I drove out to see her and her cute little guy (who is 5 months old now), have lunch and give her the quilt. I was a bit nervous of what she would think about it, but she seemed to really like it. Her husband serves in the Marine Corps so when I saw the cute camo fabric with animal shapes, and the Jeep fabric at my LQS I thought it would make a great quilt for their baby.

Her little guy is sooo cute, I enjoyed getting to hold him while we visited. I'm so glad the quilt is finally where it belongs!

Your quilting is lovely, a great keepsake for your friend. It is so much nicer to give a gift in person.
