As I flipped through PaperCraft magazine to get some inspiration for my cards this month I was drawn to the kite motif. I’d also been wanting to learn how to use Inkscape (an open source SVG graphics editor) to have words follow a path, and I also wanted to learn how to use Inkscape to design my own shapes to cut out on my Cricut. This was the perfect excuse opportunity!
So this is what I ended up with. A kite (which I was unable to get to cut on my Cricut! ugghh!) and some cloud shapes (which I are made out of different shaped circles and ovals). Some words (an inspirational kite quote found online) that mimic a kite’s tail. And a little glitter for a “silver lining” and some stitching on the kite.
I like this happy card and its uplifting message :)
And here are the rest of the cards I received:
Love all the fun details!

Tina, these are really cute cards. How did the swap work that you did ? I am in my first one but we are doing cricut cuts. I would love to do one where you got different cards.
All of those cards look wonderful. You have gotten very high tech in your card making. Beautiful.
Cute, as usual. So many new techniques. I need to get involved in something creative again. I'm so old school ... and am in danger of losing my "hip" status. Ha!
COOL cards! I love seeing each batch you make and get. This batch seems extra talented!
