I'm not very good without a deadline. Hence this quilt for my bed that I started years ago is still waiting for the quilting to be finished:
But if I have a deadline, I'm good. Problem is, when I'm making something for myself, there' really isn't a deadline. Here's another work in progress (wip).
I started to knit my sockies on January 1st. I decided I'd set a deadline for myself to get the 1st sock done by the end of the month. And I finished it up this morning!
It turned out a bit tight. My first pair of socks was a bit loose, and these are a little tight. Maybe the third pair I knit will be "just right."
2nd sock will be done by the end of February...really it will.

Third times always a charm, isn't it? It always takes me a few tries to get something just right. I'll be looking for a finished sock at the end of February :-)!
I like the new look on your blog. Cute! Too bad the socks turned out tight. Is it the bind off? Or is it tight around? Could you tell while you were making them that they would end up that way? I really want to try that pattern, so maybe you could tell me what you would have done differently. Fun to see your WIPs!
Oooohhhh, I LOVE that quilt you're making for yourself. You could make a deal: either you get it done by (insert date here) OR you have to give it to me! :-) I could help you that way. Really. It would be tough, but I could do it. Anything for a friend.
I love the pattern of your sock. It turned out really nice. The colors are awesome! I still have my great grandmother's quilt top waiting for me to finish. Not going to judge you on that one. Ha!
Great socks.
I'm the same I have to give myself a deadline or I'll never get anything finished.
Love and hugs Gina xxx
I think we are all really great procrastinators. But you know we all need to be great at something! The second quilt you pictured can go to me if you don't finish it by March okay? I love the sockies by the way. Where you live they are just the thing to wear. Wouldn't quite work here though!
I had that problem too, then I decided to make a rule for myself... You must finish at least one quilt you are on or you don't get to buy anymore fabric! How much you wanna bet you'll finish those quilts real fast ! Speaking of fabric, I recognize some the fabric one of your quilts as some I bought for a quilt I made for Lisset, we must have similar tastes :)
Good luck on bootie # 3 ! They look cute !
The socks are so cute. Your so talented!
Those socks are too cute!! I hope you get them just right next time!
