Geocaching

008

We worked around the house on Saturday and then in the afternoon we did a little caching.  We hiked up this really steep wide service trail which turned into a regular trail part way up.  It was super windy and we came upon these two flags at the peak.

A fire has gone through this area so you could see these burned bushes all over with new growth at the base of each. We had a 360 degree view at the top. It was so pretty and clear because of the winds.  We could see this beautiful lake and all the way to the ocean too.

I've always wanted to do this. Maybe we'll have to learn and make it a family tradition. So fun!

FUN! We haven't been in a while. The weather makes it hard to get out.

What a great day! I kind of understand the Geocaching thing, but not completely. But it sure sounds like fun.

Those are really great pictures. What a fun family day, very unique. How do you find out where to look for geocaches?
