DQS7 and Friends

  011010009

I finished up my DQS7 this morning!  I was smart this time and took the pictures before I put on the label.  (So I guess I'm not officially done until that label is on!)

It's almost reversible with the the extras I used to piece the back of the quilt. I really like these fabrics.  They are all from the same collection:  Legacy Collection for A Cause by Howard Marcus for Moda Fabrics.  I'm hoping I have enough scraps to put a little something together for myself.

We've had a couple interesting visitors outside our sliding glass door recently:

This little guy is so cute.  That's my daughter's small hand to give a little perspective.

This guy...not so cute.  But we were able to appreciate his beauty as we safely inspected him from behind the glass.

I do love the polka dots and color combos.

Cute and creepy critters.

That is a great quilt - I'm sure it will be much appreciated by the recipient.

Love the doll quilt.
The spider is really neat! I'm not a lizard fan since the boys tried to sneak one back from Grandma's in a paper cup and it escaped and crawled across my foot while we were out driving. Freaked me out a bit.

Your DQS7 quilt looks wonderful! I like the pattern you chose and that fabric is so pretty. The little lizard is so cute and that spider is really cool looking.

The doll quilt is beautiful. The piecing job you did on the back is such a great addition to the whole project.

The spider really is magnificent, and I would be glad that it was outside too!

Jenny: It is a large spider…at least that’s what I think it is. It has 8 legs.

You are very kind. Thank you for the compliment. I am happy with how it turned out. Can’t wait to hear that it arrived safely!

Thanks for letting me know that. I will try to fix my e-mail link in the next few days.
