Sneak Peek

011

This is what I've been working on. It's the "Challenge in A Bag Mini Quilt Swap." I've had Abbie's bag of fabrics for quite some time now and the deadline is fast approaching. So I finally sat down a couple days ago and came up with this. I can't show you the whole thing yet. Not until it is safely and happily living at Abbie's house. I sure hope she likes what I did with her fabrics. I am pleased with the result.

It was a bit unnerving working with fabrics a little outside my comfort zone. And only having a limited supply of fabrics in odd shapes and sizes I really had to get my creative juices flowing. I just had to jump right in and see where it led.

I don't mind doing that so much when I have more control on fabric choices and I know if it doesn't work out I can always trash it and try another route...not that I've ever done that, but knowing that I can if I need to gives a bit of comfort to the whole process.

I really like being challenged like this, especially when it works out so well (hopefully Abbie agrees).

I get so caught up in the creating process I forget that Abbie is also working with my fabric and will be sending me a mini quilt too. Can't wait to see what she's making for me!

Let me tell you I want to know what this is!! Suspence - I am the kind of person that wants to know what the end of the movie is before I get there.

Can't wait to see the whole thing quilted and all!

P.S. You can e-mail me a picture of the finished quilt if you want to, I wouldn't mind.

That's sneaky, Trisha. Ummm, me too, me too! Ha! I think this is a really big challenge. I don't think I'd ever be able to sign up for something like that. WOW!

Tina! I just sent you an email too, but I also had to leave a comment here! It is absolutely beautiful and stunning!!! What a wonderful job you did! I did give you quite a challenge...sorry about that, but I've been meaning to make a quilt w/ those fabrics instead they were bags so I left you w/ all the hard work to turn my scraps into something amazing which you absolutely did!
Have I already said it was beautiful! Have I already thanked you? Well let me thank you again! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
