I did it. I set a deadline and I got something done for myself. 1st sock knitted in January. 2nd sock knitted in February.
Unfortunately I learned on the first sock and improved on the 2nd. I mean that's good and all, but that means one is a bit tight and one is perfect.
It's all about learning, right? You've got to start somewhere, right? I sure wish they were both the same, but it seemed silly to try to duplicate the 1st and have two tight socks. I might as well learn from my mistakes.
I'll just need to make another pair...sometime.
The next thing on the "me" list is finishing my quilt...for my birthday. I better get to it!

Your socks look so cute! Did you end up having much yarn left over after using one ball for both?
I am excited to see your finished quilt! You are smart to give yourself deadlines. It seems to be working for you!
I love the socks - they are so cute! I love wearing decorative socks with an original print, maybe I'll have to figure out how to do that myself, i could even make myself some knee socks - ok, maybe next year :)
The sockies turned out great! I appreciate the idea of learning from mistakes and not making them both too tight. It is good to learn.
Is your birthday next month?
Is that a bento box quilt I see. I looks lovely! I love the fabrics you chose. Happy quilting....
